Directions, Hours of Operation, and General Information

Where We Are

The Hampton Roads Naval Museum and the entrance to the battleship Wisconsin are located on the second floor of Nauticus: The National Maritime Center in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Admission to the museum is free.  There are several city operated parking garages within walking distance. Guided tours available from 10 am to 4 pm most days of the week. Call 757-322-3108 to arrange group tours.

How to Get Here

From Points North: Take I-64 east towards Norfolk. Then take I-264 West to downtown Norfolk. Take Exit 9, Waterside Drive (which is a left exit). Stay on Waterside Drive until you see the Nauticus building on the left about four blocks from I-264.

From Points South: Take I-464 North to downtown Norfolk. Cross the Berkely Bridge and then take the Waterside Drive exit (left exit immediately after you cross the bridge). Drive about four blocks to Nauticus.

From Points East: Take I-264 West to Downtown Norfolk. Exit 9 Waterside Drive. Drive Four blocks to Nauticus.

From Points West: Route A) I-264 East to downtown Norfolk and take Waterside Drive exit. Route B) Take State Rte 164 or U.S. 58 East to the Mid-town Tunnel. Follow signs to downtown Norfolk (stay in right lane) until you reach Boush Street. Take a right on Boush Street to Nauticus.

Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Open Daily, 10 am to 6 pm

Non-Summer: Closed Monday, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday, 12 pm to 5pm

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
