General Norman Schwarzkopf, Commander in Chief, United States Central Command visited WISCONSIN on October 3, 1990. The general toured the battleship, shaking hands with crew members before receiving a general operational briefing on the battleship's tremendous firepower capabilities. The general also took time out from his schedule to address the crew. He told all hands how impressed he was with the ship and her men and fielded questions from concerned sailors. he told the crew that he was confident that if need be the U.S. would "Kick Saddam's teeth in and send him packing back to Iraq."
