Williamsburg/Jamestown Tour SOLD OUT

area. In Williamsburg
stroll
through the streets of Colonial Williamsburg with historical interpreter
guiding you through the past and the events that helped shape America’s history in a one and one
half hour leisurely walking tour.

Depart via coach for afternoon visiting Jamestown Settlement. Through an introductory film and expansive
indoor exhibition galleries, you will discover political, social, and economic
factors that led to the colonization of the New World. Outside, history comes alive with tour of
re-created Powhatan Indian village, a colonial fort, and the three ships - Susan
Constance, Godspeed, and Discovery - that transported English colonists to Virginia in 1607. Enjoy shopping in the gift shop for “Made in Virginia” items.

Norfolk City Tour

colorful 320 year history ride via coach through the lovely historic district
and restored areas. You will see many
shops, restaurants and attractions located within walking distance of your

world’s first ice cream cone. Ride to
the Norfolk Naval Base, which is part of Naval Station Norfolk - the largest
naval installation in the world. Your
tour will take you past the 14 piers and through the Naval Air Station. You will also drive by the historic homes
built for the 1907 Jamestown Exposition that now house the flag officers. All
persons visiting military installations must have a valid picture ID and are

Virginia’s Maritime Heritage - The Mariner’s Museum

largest comprehensive maritime history museums in the world, hosting a treasure
trove of more than 35,000 items inspired by human experiences with the
sea. One of the most exciting projects
ever undertaken by this museum is the conservation, preservation, and ongoing
recovery of the USS Monitor, which was sunk off the coast of North
Carolina shortly after she was involved in one of the most famous
battles in naval history with the CSS Virginia...the
battle of the Ironclads in 1862. Guests
will have the opportunity to peek behind the scenes and learn about the amazing
transformations as conservationists reverse 140 years of damage done by being
immersed in seawater. This center
focuses on the 1860s and the events, experiences and lifestyles of the
time. The Mariner’s Museum also features
the International
Small Craft
Center. This facility features nearly 150 boats from
36 countries and is one of the few truly internationally focused collections in
the world. Browse in the Museum Shop,
which features an extensive collection of books as well as nautical gifts for
all ages and interests.

Board the motor coach with your tour guide for the short drive to
Portsmouth and enjoy a riding tour of Olde Towne
Portsmouth, which encompasses in a single square mile one of the largest
collections of antiques homes found anywhere in Virginia.
Next, enjoy a visit to Rowena’s, one of the country’s
leading mail-order companies for fresh baked pound cakes and unique jams,
jellies, and sauces. The facility located in the historic Ghent
section of Norfolk
includes a retail store, tearoom, staff offices, and kitchens. During your visit you will tour the
production facility and enjoy tasting the delicious samples. The other component of this tour is a visit
to The Hermitage, a Tudor-style mansion built in 1908. Located on the Lafayette River
on 12 beautifully landscaped acres, the house features an outstanding
collection of Eastern and Western art representing the arts of America, England,
