USS WISCONSIN 11th REUNION INFORMATION SHEET

 

             If you are planning on attending our reunion August 26-31, 2008 in Norfolk, VA, please follow these steps:

 

1.      YELLOW SHEET- HOTEL RESERVATION FORM-  Fill out the form and mail it with your check, money order, or credit card information to cover one night’s room and tax ($119.65) to:  Marriott Norfolk Waterside, ATTN: KIM STRAUS, 235 East Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510.  OR call 1-800-874-0264 and ask for the USS Wisconsin Rate. 

 

2.      BLUE SHEET- REUNION RESERVATION FORM- Please fill out both sides of this form.  Side #1 is for the names of those attending the reunion.  It is also for you to enter your information for your name tag so please PRINT CLEARLY.  Your name tag will be made with the information you provide. 

 

3.      Side #2 is for your reunion registration, Banquet preferences, tours, merchandise orders, etc.  Fill in the number of persons for registration and total registration fee.  Make a meal choice for each person and total for each selection.  Choose the tours you would like, the number for your choices and the total for each tour you select.   If you are taking the Welcome to Norfolk tour remember-ALL PERSONS VISITING MILITARY INSTALLATIONS MUST HAVE A VALID PICTURE ID AND ARE SUBJECT TO INDIVIDUAL SEARCH.  This is also the side for selection of reunion t-shirts.  Enter the number of shirts you would like to purchase beside the correct size and color.   The shirts will be “printed” on a printer unlike past shirts that had a design that cracks over time.  This is a good quality t-shirt and the company is owned by one of our Association members as well!  The price is less than at past reunions and is a real bargain at $10 for any size.  Ordering and pricing information for the reunion patch will be available at the reunion.

 

4.      We ask all attendees to have their photo taken for the memory book.   It is NOT necessary for you to purchase our memory book.  Those wishing to purchase a memory book can do so at the reunion.   Times will be posted at the reunion.    It is always nice to remember our shipmates by their photos.

 

5.      The hotel has agreed to give us a 15% discount in their restaurant, which only serves breakfast.  Please mention you are with the USS Wisconsin to get this discount.  There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.  The city has the NET (Norfolk’s Electric Transit), that provides FREE transportation throughout downtown, which stops at the Marriott every 6 minutes.            

 

6.      Plan on choosing your seat for the Banquet when you pick up your registration packet at the reunion.  All seats will be reserved and are available on a first come, first served basis.   Tables seat 10 persons.  Those wishing to sit together should arrange to have one of your party provide the names of all that are in your party.   Those who do not select their seat at registration will be seated based on a space available basis.  Absolutely no seats will be assigned before you pick up your package at the registration desk at the reunion.
