Good News for one of our members:
CWO4 Steve Pelon will be promoted to CWO5 on the 31st of
January 2009. He was onboard 1990-1991,
BM1, 2nd and 4th Division. Congratulations Steve, we hope to see you at
the next reunion!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
If your label reads “THIS IS YOUR LAST BADGER”, it means that your
membership expires before April 1, 2009.
Since not all memberships expire in December, please look at your
membership card to determine your membership expiration date. Since we used bulk mail for the December
Badger to save money on postage, every issue has a dues envelope. So please check your label since some members
pay their dues up to 3 years at a time.
The new bylaws state that any member whose dues are more than 30
days past due will be removed from the roster so please mail your dues
today. If you are an active duty member,
you need to confirm your mailing address and active duty status with me so that
you can receive your new membership card.
Last year several Badgers were returned to me because several active
duty members either retired and moved or got orders and failed to notify me of
the change.
If you do not notify me or leave a forwarding address with the
post office, your Badger will be returned to me as undeliverable and you will
be removed from the mailing list since we cannot keep sending mail out that is
returned.

the following from Vicki Fournier pertaining to Bill Frost 1st Division 1951-1953
I just had a note from Kathy
Frost and Bill was diagnosed yesterday with prostate cancer.....they also found
something of concern in his remaining lung. and will
wait till they treat the prostate to do anything about that. Please let everyone
know so they can put him on a prayer lists....they do not have any
schedules yet for treatments. She said they would make this the best Christmas
ever...they will go to Rhode Island to her daughters for Christmas on the
24....I will keep you posted when I hear anything else...just wanted you all to
know. V&B

USS WISCONSIN 10TH BI-ANNUAL

Even though we will have a short article on our next cruise in the Badger, I

closer. Our cruise on Carnival Glory will sail from Port Canaveral on the
