Hello,
I wanted to let you know our nation lost another super hero early on Tuesday
morning, November 13th. Arvel August Phifer was 96 years old. As I have been told, he was
the oldest living veteran who served aboard the USS Wisconsin in WWII. He
had a rapid decline in his health over the past few months and he died
peacefully at the Veteran’s Hospital, Hospice Unit in
May God Bless All Veterans!
