I received the following email from Marion Van Tornhout on 4/14/08 C. Van Tornhout E
Div. 1946-1947
Hello Dom;
I
want to inform you that Chuck is in the Hospital since last week Wednesday when he had
Surgery. This Surgery was an abscess he developed
from a condition he has had for some time now called
Diverticulitis, which is
in the colon area. He has an incision on his left side
about 2-3 inches long, as of
now it is still draining. He may not be able to come home until it stops draining. I
hope it’s not too much
longer.
I go up too see him every day; the
trip takes me to
now once
each day to work his feet, legs, arms & hips. He was asking yesterday for pain
pills, which today he did not.
Maybe this
is a good sign, although he had some draining going on, he does have color back in his
face. Will keep you informed.
Marion Van Tornhout (his wife)
A follow up on the
15th
I saw
Charles today and he is doing better, also got too speak with one of the
Doctor's (which is unusual most of the time),
He may come
home tomorrow, but I have to wait until they see him tomorrow to make sure he
can get around by himself.
Will keep
you informed.
