REUNION DATES

Our next reunion will be August 25-31, 2008 in Norfolk, VA with our ship.  Additional information, forms, etc. will be in the April Badger

There is an interesting entry in our DeckLog pertaining to our ships involvement in the Gulf War.  The entry is by Tom Nolan who experienced this event.  I think that anyone on the board ship at the time of the Gulf War would appreciate this entry.

The following is a question presented to me by Nauticus.   I have searched out the answer but could not come up with one.  Hopefully some of our Third Generation members who were in GM Div. Missiles,  can answer this for me.

Prior to launching a missile, does the ship sound some sort of alarm (like they did prior to firing the 16’s) to notify the crew that a missile will be launched?  How many seconds pass after the alarm is sounded and the missile is launched.

Thanks Dom

FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS SHIPMATES

Lil has finally finished her 36th radiation treatment today.  She gets a break for a few weeks then starts full chemo treatments once every three weeks for 3 treatments.

She thanks everyone for their prayers and cards and thoughts.  The last HDR (High Dosage Radiation) showed that the tumor was gone.  She knows that without those prayers this could not have been possible.  Thank you all so very much.
