SICKBAY UPDATE

Received
the following excerpt from SuLayne Cox
The word for the day is......Ecstatic! I went to see
Ken this weekend and I was surprised to see him without restraints, his vent is
gone, he isn't restrained, and he doesn't have his NG tube. I am not too
excited about his color. He still looks a little yellow. They were going
to do the skin graft on his wound, but it is Ken we are talking about so they
will have to wait. He has a place near his pelvic area that isn't quite
healed enough to attach They put something on
his trach that allows him to speak so he isn't as
frustrated. He is in good spirits and is alert and cognoscente of what is
taking place. He managed to be a comedian with the nurses,
He has it together and is moving forward. We are all surprised and
anticipated good things. I do apologize for not updating sooner, but as
many of you know I teach and school has started for the teachers. I will
update more when I see more changes.
