SICKBAY
UPDATE
Cox, Ken
I know that it has
been a few days since I last sent an update and I do apologize. Ken is
still sedated and considered critical, but stable. He had a tracheotomy
done earlier this week and they placed the vent there. He appears to be
healing, but please continue to pray for him. I remained at the
hospital until yesterday when I decided that he was stable enough to come home
and sleep in a bed. I have checked on him by phone all night and day and
he is still in the same shape. They changed his wound vac
and his illiostomies yesterday and those were looking
good and healing well. I am only hoping that he is going to continue to
rest. I can only speculate what he is going to do when he realizes how
long he has been in ICU. There have been so many things I don't think
either of us were prepared to deal with, but with God's help I KNOW that we
will get through it. I am going to return to the hospital tomorrow,
but wanted to take a few minutes between naps and e-mail an update. Thank
you for your prayers
SuLayne Cox
