RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING EMAIL

Hello Mr. Menta.  I'm the Adult Services Manager at the Melrose Park, IL Public Library and our library has recently joined the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project.  The VHP is an oral history project in which organizations interview armed services veterans about their military service experiences, particularly those who served our country during wartime, and create profiles of them along with digital recordings of their memories and photos for preservation at the Library of Congress.  More details of the project can be found at the following link:
http://www.loc.gov/vets/
Our library is also preserving veteran profiles and stories on our own website:
http://www.melroseparklibrary.org/vhp/
Does your association have a newsletter or some other method for letting your members know that this project exists?  We would like to interview Chicago area veterans of the USS Wisconsin (BB64), especially those from the near western suburbs of Chicago where we are located and were hoping you might be able to publicize this project with your membership.  Is this project something you might be able to help us with?
Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Fidencio Marbella, MPPL Adult Services Manager
