I sent this out to the Exec Board
about a week ago, Lil
didn’t want me to send this out to the members, but I thought I should.
August 2002, Lil had the upper right
lobe of her lung removed due to cancer.
Since that time she has been going for check up's, CAT scans etc. as
part of the five year survival rate program.
June 18, 2007 Lil had a CAT scan prior to her next visit to her
pulmonary doctor.
June 28th her doctor informed us that the scan revealed that there was abnormal
soft tissue and a narrowing of the right main stem bronchus. He ordered a PET scan which was performed on
July 9th. This scan confirmed that there
is a large lesion attached to her windpipe.
A bronchoscope was done on Saturday,
July 14, and a biopsy was taken.
July 16th another visit
to the pulmonary doctor who confirmed that the lesion cannot be operated on
because of its location. They will do
both radiation and chemo. Radiation will also be administered internally to try
to dissolve this mass from both inside and outside.
Lil is in very good spirits and she
said “let’s get this going and over with”.
She said she has a lot
of work to do and doesn’t have any time for these games.
Prayers are needed for this feisty broad.
Lil
is winding down her first week of Chemo and radiation.
Prayers are needed.
