Wives
Menta, Lillian 10/11/07
For
those of you who have not heard, my wife Lil passed
away late on Thursday night, Oct. 11th while
in the hospital. She was admitted Tuesday morning Oct. 9th with hopes of
finding a solution to her esophagus problem. She was scheduled to
have an endoscopy of her esophagus Friday
morning, however late Thursday night she had a cardiac arrest due to a
pulmonary embolism. The doctors had brought her back twice, but could not
save her. Lil was a fighter, she beat the
cancer only to be knocked out by this. We had 51 years of a glorious
marriage and knew each other a total of 55 years. Lots of memories to hold me over.
All the phone calls
I had received started off the same way, "I'm Shocked!" from our
local priest our Township Commissioner and our State Rep. Lil sure did leave a lasting impression.
I am
more proud of her now than I ever was.
Sorry if I'm
sending again to you who have heard about Lil.
