Received a
note from George Matthai as follows: Dom, I just received word
that one of our shipmates is having medical problems. His name is Captain
Francis "Skip" Crawford he served 1952-1954,
he was a LTJG then and was in quite a few divisions. His daughter informs me
he has had a heart attack and developed a Staph
infection in his leg due to Diabetis (Discoverd while in Hospital) which that would not
heal and they had to amputate his leg. I'm not sure how much detail I should
put in the deck log so I am writing to you so you could put in the proper
thing. I'm sure he would appreciate a card or letter from his shipmates. He
also has a website about his life and the George Matthai
"E" division 1953-55 Will furnish address for
Skip upon request. Skip, our prayers are with
you. ______________________________________________________________________________________- Good News: Hello everyone, Labs were better than
last time. His CT scan was good. There are no new growths and what
is there has been stable. His right lung has remained stable at this
point also. It's hard to believe,
but it has been a whole year since Thank you all for
your continued prayers. Brenda Miller Cal Miller, HN, H Div. 1988-1990 Brenda, we are so happy to hear the Good
News!!
The
Bermuda
Cruise page has now been added.
There are 138 pictures. I want
to thank Bob Simpson, Don Coveleski and Mike Rigdon for their contributions. I had to sort through 1000+ pictures to
come up with the 138 that have been posted.
If you find any errors in my captions, names, etc. please let me
know.
Bill Lewis informed us of the following: Culbertson,

We have had to remove 58
members from our Members Roster for non-payment of dues. 1940- 19 1950-
22 1980-
17 We really can’t afford to
lose any members. Please, if you have
not paid your dues, please contact me and we can work it out. I have been getting about
300 SP*AM on a daily basis in our DeckLog. That’s
the reason you can’t see your entry immediately. I scan through it daily, dump the garbage,
then answer your entry in a day or two.
It’s getting to be a hassle deleting them. I have added an extra
line below the comment box. You need
to enter the numbers and letters shown.
This may work for a while, we’ll see. The Sp*ammers are entering their garbage via a robot
system. Hopefully this deters them. Stay tuned. |
