NEW ENGLAND CRUISE

September 20-27, 2003
On Sept 20, 2003 at 4PM we set sail aboard the Carnival Victory for our
New England Cruise.

Our first get together was our Life Boat Drill. This took place before we sailed.
At dinner the first evening we all wore our bright red t-shirts, compliments of the Cruise Connection. See photos # 12-22. We turned a few heads with these shirts. Word of caution, tone down your screen or wear your sun glasses. Lil and I chose the color and we really didn’t think they would be so bright. We will tone it down for next time.

Our first port of call was Boston, MA. It was a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon, many sail boats in the harbor. Some of us took tours, and some just meandered on our own through Quincy Market. Dick, Marty Sippel, George Miller, Bud Fourney and myself met our former president Lou Sinagra. We were all glad to see each other. We spent an hour with Lou just reminiscing.
On Monday, we stopped at Portland Maine. Tuesday was a day at sea, Wednesday we docked at Sydney, NS, Thursday we arrived in Halifax NS and Friday was a day at sea. We arrived back in New York early Saturday morning and we were back to reality. The ports of call were interesting and great for shopping.

Of course, we took our usual group photo #68, then we all got together for our cocktail party, hosted by the cruise line and our Association. It happen that the room the cruise line gave us was called the Red and Black Sea Room. As you can see in our pictures, we all kind of blended in with the decor.

We pulled into New York Harbor early Saturday morning. The end of another great cruise put together by Dick and Claire Hamann. Thanks guys, you did it again. Outstanding job!!!!
